Welcome to Princeton Disability Advocates

Welcome to Princeton Disability Advocates. If you’re looking for Social Security Disability or Veterans Disability benefits you’ve come to the right place.
I look forward to discussing many important topics with you on this blog in the coming months but want to begin with the single most important question on anyone’s mind:
What are my chances of success?
The answer depends, of course, on many different variables including your age, educational background, past work history, medical condition, etc. etc. We’ll review all of that and more whenever we get the chance to speak with you individually. Here, I want to focus on some recent legislation and its potential impact on the disability application process as we move into the new year.
As many of you know, Congress recently passed a massive tax cut. The biggest winners are large U.S. corporations, which saw their tax rates cut dramatically. The biggest losers, unfortunately, may be people like you, people who have worked hard all their lives, people who, perhaps, have served their country honorably in the military, people who now find themselves in need of help because a serious illness or injury makes it impossible for them to work.
In the past, benefits paid to disabled workers were thought of as a RIGHT, something earned through years of labor or military service. Now, however, many in government refer to these benefits as ENTITLEMENTS. The difference may sound small, but the implication is that these PAYOUTS ARE REALLY HANDOUTS, and that many deserving recipients should be cut from the rolls. A significant number of legislators now propose that these “entitlements” become far harder to obtain and lessened in value because the tax breaks given to the corporations mean less revenue for the government……. they propose to make up for that shortage by cutting benefits to those who can least afford it.
We don’t believe in balancing budgets on the backs of the disabled and will do our absolute best to fight for every one of our clients who are RIGHTFULLY ENTITLED to receive them! We know the process has never been easy and we know it just got harder. It’s harder still when you go it alone.
We look forward to helping you!
